Ever wondered what set Manoj Kumar Sharma apart?

Allowing him to achieve so much despite starting with very little and being a 12th-grade dropout?

“OBSESSION” BEATS TALENT

What truly matters in life? It’s not your past or your problems; it’s your level of obsession with your goals.

Can life truly be planned?

For him, the idea of becoming an IPS Officer wasn’t even a thought, let alone understanding what that title meant.

But does it really matter? The universe had bigger plans.

What fueled his success was an unshakable self-belief.

Every time he says- “Mein kar lunga” (‘I will do it’)

Kaisa karna ha? yeh jawab nai tha… or chahiya bhi kyun? (The details of how and why didn’t bother him much — almost like they didn’t matter)

Our control over outcomes might be limited, but one thing we can ensure is putting all our efforts into it and that’s exactly what he did.

For him- “Faith and hard work can often overshadow the need for clear answers. Believe in yourself, put in the effort, and watch how determination can light up your path, even when the destination isn’t crystal clear.”

“God had a plan for him”, Let’s see how he send people into his life who made a significant impact on his journey.

  1. Failed 12th class felt disappointing → but it ended up introducing him to an honest police officer who unknowingly became a source of inspiration.
  2. Starting the journey towards DSP → hit a roadblock when the theft happened, and government stopped recruitment but ended up, meeting Manoj, where he first heard the word IPS, and despite limited knowledge, he took the leap of faith.”
  3. Failing in the first attempt didn’t stop him → Instead, he found a guide in Gauri Bhaiya, who taught him how to restart from scratch.
  4. The Second attempt marked a fresh start → He left behind deceptive coaching centers, embraced honesty, and crossed paths with Shraddha, unaware that she would be a constant support throughout his journey.
  5. Failed in Qualifying Exam → Another setback along with the loss of his grandmother. Facing discouragement from his father, he stood strong, saying, “Haar nahi maanunga, raar nai thanunga ” (I won’t accept defeat, I won’t back down).
  6. Cleared Prelims, one step closer → Yet, doubting words from IPS topper Mr. Deep came his way. ‘You can’t do it,’ Deep said. But against the odds, he proved everyone wrong, clearing the mains.
  7. Interview Day, the last step → Almost facing rejection, but his journey had planned something for him. With honesty, he not only cleared the interview but turned the last step into a triumph, teaches us that even in tough times, honesty can turn setbacks into stepping stones for success.

“Bahar ke andhere se nahi, andar ke andhere se daro.

Suvidhaon ke lalach mein samjhote ka andhera.”

For him, becoming an IPS is not the ultimate goal; the real aim is to reform the country.

Whether through the role of an honest IPS officer or a teacher instilling values in students, the mission remains the same — to promote honesty and hard work.

This is the tale of a “12th-grade dropout turned IPS”, who understands the true worth of integrity and diligence.

He encourages us to pursue our goals regardless of the outcome,

“For every ending is merely the start of something new, beyond our imagination.”
